3. Prom Night
Look, you can make a good PG-13 horror movie. It’s not difficult. Just look at Insidious, The Ring, Drag Me to Hell and The Others. The Prom Night remake is not a good PG-13 horror movie. In fact, it’s pretty terrible. The idea of turning an R-rated slasher, which admittedly isn’t that good to begin with (sorry Jamie), into a bloodless YA film is mind-boggling. The usually dependable Brittany Snow doesn’t even seem to be trying at all. It’s just a predictable and tedious slog of a film. They didn’t even include a silly dance number!
