7. April Fool’s Day
Now we get into the remakes that aren’t even fun to watch. No one would accuse the original April Fool’s Day of being high art, but it still had a somewhat clever twist on the slasher sub-genre. The same cannot be said of the remake, a film filled with such despicable characters that it is nearly unbearable to watch. According to horror film poison Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween, Halloween 2, 7500, 247°F), the film could be described as “Mean Girls crossed with horror.” Unfortunately, April Fool’s Day is neither funny nor scary.
