4. The Fog
Yeesh, what a turd. I remember actually being excited to see this one when it hit theaters in 2005 (I was a sophomore in high school). Boy, did I learn my lesson with setting my expectations too high. John Carpenter’s original film is good, but it’s no Halloween (and it’s not particularly scary), so you would think it would have been easy for the filmmakers would have found something to improve upon. It also fall into the typical remake trap of being dull. It’s a shame, because the cast (consisting of Selma Blair, Maggie Grace and then-famous Superman Tom Welling) is actually pretty good. That ending is just plain silly though.
