Of course, this is announced the day AFTER I buy an Android…
Backflip Studios, in partnership with MGM Studios, is proud to announce that its highly anticipated homage to Sam Raimi’s Army Of Darkness is now live on the Apple App Store with Army of Darkness: Defense, a mobile castle defense game based on the 1992 classic film Army of Darkness.
Defense takes place during the pivotal castle scene within the movie where Ash and his allies defend the powerful Necronomicon within Lord Arthur’s fortress from the onslaught of Deadites. Gamers take on the role of the chiseled chin, one-liner-spouting Ash while summoning familiar troops, spells and weapons from the movie to help in the defense. Gameplay features include over 150 direct lines of dialogue from Bruce Campbell (!) as Ash Williams, and beautifully animated graphics using the well-known “Granny 3D” engine. In the game, Ash has the ability to call upon a wide variety of allies to help preserve the Necronomicon including swordsman, armored knights, archers and more. In addition to the originally composed sound and music, the app also features many of the famous characters from the movie including Arthur, Henry, Sheila, the Wiseman, Evil Ash, and more.
You can purchase the iPhone/iPod Touch version for $0.99 here and the iPad version for $2.99 here. I’m not sure if there’s a difference between tower and castle defense games (other than the exact location you’re stationed), but if it’s anything like Plants Vs. Zombies, I’ll be praying for a port.
Most of us would kill, and I mean murder someone in cold blood to see Nex Gen Army Of Darkness or Evil Dead game. Well for now you only get Army Of Darkness: Defense for the iDevices. The game drops you right into Lord Arthur’s castle where Ash must defend the Necronomicon.
The game will feature over 150 lines from Ash right from the movie. Along with spells, weapons, like the fabled chainsaw arm, and boomstick. In defending the Necronomicon you will have the ability to call on swordsmen, armored knights, archers and more for help. Past the break for more. READ MORE

I thought this was HILARIOUS, so I thought I would share it with our beloved fans. Shave Me! is a ridiculous app you can get for most newer mobile phones. Basically the screen is a harry patch of skin and it’s up to you to shave it. With razors, electrics, use shaving cream. You can even cut to deep and make the skin bleed, then you have to put toilet paper squares on the skin and after shave.
You can download the app/game for free, or pay 1 dollar for an ad free version. Try it out, it’s good for a laugh haha. Screens past das break. READ MORE
In Jason Vs Zombies you play as a man names Jason. Who’d have thought right? Read on for the rest of the game info and past the breaks for screens and features. The game is out now for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod 3, iPod 4, iPhone 4, iPad 1, and iPad 2.

You have to be a very good Zombie Killer for surviving 5 amazing Levels and Missions. It’s a long way to the last level called “Zombie City”. So you need many Kill-Points to unlock new weapons for free. You can also earn Bonus-Kill-Points if you cut the arms and heads of aggressively zombies with your different weapons. Your Level-Kill-Points will always be saved and you can play every level for new if it’s unlocked once.”READ MORE

They are in the process of working on the 2nd campaign for the game right now which will bring the total gameplay from 7 hours up to 10-11. On the site they also hint at multiplayer in the future. PC and Mac versions are also in the works, to be announced at a later date. The game will be officially released next Wednesday March 30th on the newer iOS devices. “We created this game out of passion for the turn based games that we used to play in the old days. We love games like x-com, jagged alliance and similar but couldn’t find many games of this kind on the App Store and thus we assumed that we were not the only ones, wishing for more games in the genre.”READ MORE

So, about two weeks ago, I got an iPad as a gift. Talk about one hell of a gift, right? The intended use was for readings, notes, etc… However, one of the first things I did was buy a couple of games, mainly Secret of Mana (my childhood in a nutshell), Infinity Blade (awesome game) and, being the horror nerd that I am, Dead Space. I was eager to know if the Dead Space experience could translate to a mobile device, even one large enough as the iPad. So, how does the game fare? Check after the jump my fellow Unitologists!
I’m going to break this review down into four main parts: Story, Graphics, Sound/Music, and Gameplay. This will make it easier for me to focus my thoughts and easier for those of you who want to skip around and get to the part you care about the most. READ MORE
It was only a matter of time before someone cashed out on Paranormal Activity by taking it into the video game world. And game developer Ogmento has done just that. Though it is not in the vein of a normal video game. 1st, it’s totally free. 2nd, its for the iPad and Iphone. 3rd, watch the video below to see exactly how the game works.
Lots of games are getting made over and redone and re-released on newer gaming devices. Nothing at all wrong with that. Bringing a CLASSIC such as Double Dragon back is genius. On that note, Double Dragon will be back this March on the Apple iOS devices. And it is totally redone and looking new and fancy, but still keeping its 2D side scrolling roots.
Billy and Jimmy are back, and it’s up to them to save Marian from the Black Warriors. What do they want? They want the Sousetsuken scrolls for Marian, or Marian will be killed. Well Billy and Jimmy don’t see it that way. They plan on keeping the scrolls and getting Marian back. Screens and features past the break. READ MORE

A little bit before Halloween I posted about a new Back To The Future game. Christopher Loyd is back playing Doc. And while they couldn’t get Michael J Fox to do the voice of Marty, AJ LoCascio does an amazing job filling in.
Telltale games is working on the game for NBC Universal, and they have also signed on to do an episodic Jurassic Park series as well. This Back To The Future takes place a short time after the 3rd movie. Doc is lost in time and it’s up to Marty to find him. Past the break for screens. READ MORE
As you may have noticed most Zombie games recently have taken on the roll of a 3rd person Smash TV like shooter. While fun, it keeps the games from really being scary. Zombie Crisis 3D is a 1st person zombie shooter, and though the graphics look a few systems old it still has a scary look to it.
In the game a company known as The Agro Company has a bio-accident infecting its employees and eventually completely turning them into zombies. You play as Dana a mercenary who is sent to investigate the Ago labs to see what all the zombie fuss is about. More past the break. READ MORE
25 years. It’s been 25 effing years since Back to the Future graced our movie theaters. It’s also been about the same amount of time since we’ve had a good back to the future game. Oh wait, we never really did. And that my friends, is a damn shame. Will this new game break the mold?
“We’re very excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise with a completely new adventure,” said Dan Connors CEO Telltale Games. “It’s been an amazing experience to be part of reuniting Marty McFly and Doc Brown on their continuing quest. Back to the Future fans will have a great time helping to control the integrity of the space-time continuum.”READ MORE
EA recently unveiled a slew of titles coming to Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, one of which will be take place in the Dead Space universe. This isn’t a huge surprise since a mobile installment in the series was listed among upcoming EA releases some time ago, but the fact that the PSP and DS aren’t getting any dismembering love is a little surprising.
However, this will not be the same game the consoles are getting in January, instead this game will bridge the gap between the original and its upcoming sequel. Kind of a Dead Space: Case Zero, if you will. If this tickles your fancy, head past the jump for a release date, more details on the game, and the other EA titles making their way to Apple’s platforms. READ MORE
Get ready for an onslaught of Halloween geared games coming at you from every which way and gunning for your flesh. 1st off is Zombie Racers for your Apple devices. iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, etc. The game is pretty simple, you drive around splattering zombies, and killing them with fun weapons attached to your car. You can play online with a friend, which honestly looks like it will be really fun, it’s a shame I only own a 4 year old iPod. Oh, and the game soundtrack is done by a punk band. It doesn’t really sound like the game can get any better.
The game is out now for Apple devices. Head past the break for screens and game features. READ MORE
