1. Cannibal Corpse “Kill Or Become”
There are few things that scream “Halloween” more than killing zombies. In Cannibal Corpse’s most recent music video effort, that’s exactly what happens. Director Dave Brodsky trekked to Kelly’s Hideaway in Seffner, Florida for this shoot, which turned out to be ideal for a zombie post-apocalypse. What we get from this is classic chainsaw-on-zombie kills, with no shortage of tights shots of Cannibal Corpse’s top-notch musical chops in action. With what experience in post-production I have, I can tell you that Brodsky’s attention to detail with visual effects, lens effects, color correcting, etc. is worth mentioning. These are the things that separate a local band’s attempt at a music video, and a professional video director’s knowledge and experience behind the lens. Besides, who else but Cannibal Corpse can turn “Fire up the chainsaw! Hack their fucking heads off!” into a vocal hook?
