10. Charred Walls of the Damned “Ghost Town”
I fucking love Richard Christy. Few people on earth are more talented, endearing, and just plain pleasant as the ginger drummer, who metal heads know from his time in Iced Earth, Death, etc. Many more are familiar with Christy’s work as part of the Howard Stern show. While not on the airwaves, Christy has put out two records under the Charred Walls of the Damned banner with vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, bassist Steve DiGiorgio, and acclaimed metal producer/guitarist Jason Suecof. The video for “Ghost Town” was released in 2010 and was directed by Mike Schiff (who also directed the band’s second video “Zerospan”). “Ghost Town” was inspired by creepy and practically abandoned town near where Christy grew up in northeastern Oklahoma. The imagery and content is perfectly fitting for Halloween or any survival horror video game!
