6. GWAR “Zombie, March!”
What GWAR video isn’t appropriate for Halloween? “Zombies, March!” is a zombie mini-movie from famed Fangoria director Dave McKendry, and it features… well, loads of zombies! This video doesn’t feel that old, but it came out during the tail end of the MTV2 Headbanger’s Ball era, before even MTV2 abandoned music entirely. This would have been on the verge of not airing on TV, due to the amount of gore and violence throughout. Censors tend to freak out more over gore when it’s paired with music, as if it’s somehow more “dangerous.” I’ve never quite figured that out. Either way, if anyone is ok with giving network censors something to pine over, it’s GWAR. Hail, Oderus! Hail, Flattus!
