7. Cattle Decapitation “Kingdom of Tyrants”
Cattle Decapitation’s collaboration with director Mitch Massie is one of the best examples of what can happen when a band with a vision as bleak and evocative as Cattle’s pairs up with a brilliant director. The extended minifilm version combines the closing two tracks on the “Monolith of Inhumanity” album, which is by far the band’s most well-received release by both fans and critics. The combination of the Cattle’s dark musical passages and Ryan’s hauntingly abrasive vocal melodies is aurally entrancing. Add those to Massie’s cinema-quality direction, and what we have is a legitimate masterpiece. It’s a gory, dystopian video, and one every fan of horror and/or metal should see.
