9. The Purge: Anarchy (56% Rotten Tomatoes)
While not a perfect film, The Purge: Anarchy is much better than its predecessor since it actually shows the effects of the titular event on an entire city, as opposed to a single family in their house. Frank Grillo proves to be a much more compelling lead character than Ethan Hawke’s douchey protagonist in the first film and the stakes seem much higher in the sequel (as they should be). The auction sequence is actually pretty fun, too.
