3. The Bay (77% Rotten Tomatoes)
Another found footage film, but with an interesting angle: an outbreak of a mutant breed of cymothoa exigua, a parasite that attaches itself to its hosts tongue, severs it, replaces it and feeds off of its blood and mucus, acting as the host’s new tongue. It’s not a very fast-paced film, and it’s not particularly gory, but it’s a truly disturbing and haunting film.
