7. Dawn of the Dead
Remember when everyone thought this movie was going to suck? Rather than imitate the social commentary of George A. Romero’s masterful original, a then unknown Zack Snyder went for a sucker punch (sorry) and delivered one of the most badass zombie films ever unleashed upon the world. The film may have peaked with its stellar opening sequence, but the film still stands the test of time, even in this post-The Walking Dead world.
