I Saw the Devil (Kim Jee-Woon, 2010) – The daughter of and old police officer (and fiancée of a young one) is brutally killed by a serial murderer. The fiancée (Byung-hun Lee, the star of preveous film of the same director, The Good, the Bad, the Weird, an ironic homage to Sergio Leone) is looking for revenge. Although after the first half an hour it is easy to predict the plot – in the end of film the hunter will became a monster worse than the killer himself – it is impossible to stop watching this movie. The only request for the viewer is a good stomach: I Saw the Devil is one of the most cruel and violent movies in my list.
