The Girl Who Knew Too Much (Mario Bava, 1963) – A female tourist becomes a witness of murder and, obviously, a potential new victim of the serial killer. Perhaps one of the first samples of giallo — the Italian gore thriller — created by Mario Bava, Lucio Fulchi and Dario Argento. The filmmakers liked serial psychos and The Girl Who Know Too Much is the first one in the long list of serial killer giallo, and – surprise! – the most jokey and comical one. It’s hard to believe that the first giallowas a kind of comedy. See the film to be sure.
