stendblu_shot8l

The Stendhal Syndrome (Dario Argento, 1995) – A serial killer plays cat-and-mouse with a beautiful female detective (Asia Argento, daughter of the director) amongst the scenery of Italian museums. Imagine: the master of giallo waited  for years until his daughter Asia was grown up enough to shoot her in another violent and thrilling film. The hands of the killer shown in the films of Dario Argento (The Bird with Cristal Plumage, Profondo Rosso) are said to be the hands of the director himself. It’s not surprising the main character of Butterfly Skin owns a videotape cover signed by Dario Argento.
