I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)
Lois Duncan was kind of the person to read if you were growing up in the 90s. I Know What You Did Last Summer, written in 1973, is one of her more well known novels. This is mostly because of the extremely popular film that Kevin Williamson adapted from it. It’s important to note that the novel didn’t really contain many slasher elements (for example, there was no fisherman with a hook), but the main quartet were still receiving notes about a hit-and-run murder they committed the summer before.
