Valentine (2001)
Another contender for one of my favorite books of all time, T om Savage’s Valentine is light years better than its film adaptation. Where the film was a vapid slasher, the book follows the protagonist as she slowly learns of three of her former friends’ deaths. Told alternatively from the killer’s perspective and the protagonist’s, Valentine keeps you guessing right up until the very end. You can’t say that about the movie.
