The Thing From Another World (1951) & The Thing (1982 & 2011)
Interestingly enough, John Carpenter’s remake is a closer adaptation of John W. Campbell Jr.’s 1938 novella Who Goes There? than The Thing From Another World was. Both Carpenter’s film and the novella feature the infamous dog transformation scene, whereas the 1951 version does not.
