Angel Heart (1987)
Notoriously famous for a graphic sex scene featuring The Cosby Show’s Lisa Bonet (whose character is named Epiphany Proudfoot, of all things), the Mickey Rourke/Robert De Niro film is so much more than that. It’s actually quite a good film. Angel Heart is based on the 1978 novel Fallen Angel. While staying mostly faithful to the novel, it is interesting to not that while the entirety of the novel takes place in New York City, the film takes place in Louisiana.
