Psycho (1960 & 1998)
This one may not be much of a surprise, but what did surprise me is that the entire marketing campaign behind Hitchcock’s film adaptation of Robert Bloch’s 1959 novel of the same name hinged on people not ruining the ending. Technically, it was already ruined to anyone who read the book (it’s a mostly faithful adaptation). I guess not as many people read back then. Oh yeah, and there was a terrible 1998 remake by Gus Van Sant. Don’t watch it.
