17.) Contamination
A bit of an Italian Alien knock-off that follows mysterious alien pods being delivered, where they then release their lethal acid within and cause nearby victims to explode. The slow motion explosions where pretty gnarly, while often obvious in its low budget, but in true Italian fashion were extremely bloody. Which meant it was destined for the Video Nasties. It was dropped and never prosecuted, but that didn’t stop the release from being heavily edited. It wasn’t until 2004 that it passed uncut in the UK.
