53.) Nightmare in a Damaged Brain
Also known simply as Nightmare, this marks the only film on the Video Nasty list where a distributor actually served jail time for releasing a cut of the film one minute longer than the theatrical version, even though it was still heavily cut. It’s also notorious for being the film where Tom Savini threatened to sue for using his name to promote, when he only served as a consultant. The uncut version finally saw release in 2015, and it’s one of the bloodiest slashers of the ‘80s. So it’s no surprise that it made the Video Nasties.
