3.) Axe
Three psychos go on a rampage in small town before coming across a girl living with her paralyzed grandfather on a farm. When they rape her, she uses razors and an axe to get revenge. Borrowing heavily from Last House on the Left, made two years prior, it’s the similarities to the film and likely the title itself that landed this on the Video Nasties. Not nearly as graphic as the plot and title imply, most of the deaths are off screen. Initially released in theaters with an X-rating, the video release was uncut. This meant a successful prosecution and banning until 1999 with approved cuts. It’s now available uncut in the UK since 2006.
