70.) Women Behind Bars
Director Jess Franco’s third entry on the Video Nasties list only landed there briefly, as it was dropped and no prosecuted. However, it’s never been re-released in the UK either. It was the gratuitous nudity and warped prison treatment that caught the DPP’s attention in the first place. As for plot, it features Franco mainstay Lina Romay as a woman who murders her criminal husband to steal his diamonds, only to land herself behind bars. Cue the prison exploitation.
