Charles McCrann’s only acting, writing, producing, editing, and directing credit can be attributed to this Video Nasty, also known as Toxic Zombies. If you guessed this was a zombie film caused by poisonous gas used on drug fields, you’d be correct. The amount of gore alone is likely what landed this on the list, though it wasn’t every prosecuted. Even still, it was never resubmitted for classification, therefore, remains unavailable in the UK. Sadly, this is one likely to remain unavailable, as McCrann eventually left behind his passion for horror and became a businessman. He did in his office, in the World Trade Center, during the attack on September 11, 2001.
