22.) The Devil Hunter
A Vietnam vet swoops into an island of cannibals to save a model being held ransom and offered up as sacrifice to a Devil god. Director Jess Franco seems to have been trying to cash in on the cannibal craze, which was enough to garner attention from DPP on its own. But in true Franco style, there’s a ton of full frontal nudity, and viewers get a little too acquainted with the actors on screen. Or at least, their bodies. There’s also a rape scene, a DPP no-no. Thus, it was successfully prosecuted and banned until passing uncut in 2008.
