72.) Zombie Flesh Eaters
More commonly known as Zombi 2 or Zombie, this Lucio Fulci zombie flick marks the third film to land on the Video Nasties. It was also heavily censored upon its initial release in the UK. When the distributor released the uncut version on video, it was prosecuted and banned under the Obscene Publications Act. It should surprise no one who has seen this one that the British Parliament took particular issue with the eye gouge by way of splinter scene, as well as the zombie feast and poor Susan getting her throat ravaged by a zombie. A cut version was later released in the 1990s, before being re-submitted to the board in 1999, resulting in a version with less cuts to be released. It wasn’t until 2005 that Zombie Flesh Eaters was finally passed uncut.
