A rather tame movie about three teen girls that crash their car on the way to a concert and seek refuge in a nearby house inhabited by a demented family. It borrows heavily from classics like Psycho and Last House on the Left, but most of the kills were off-screen and it had barely any nudity. So why did it make the Video Nasties list? Likely it was simply because the BBC News included clips of the film during the height of the Video Nasties madness. Ultimately, Unhinged was dropped from the list and not prosecuted. The film finally saw an uncut release in 2005.
