54.) Night of the Bloody Apes
This low budget Mexican horror film follows a surgeon that saves his son from a fatal illness by giving him a Gorilla heart. It worked, but it also made his son take on Gorilla characteristics and induces a violent rampage. Despite cheesy effects that made the gore too fake to be believed, the scenes involving the operation used graphic medical footage, causing the DPP to take notice. The uncut video release landed this one on the banned list after a successful prosecution. It wasn’t until 2012 that an uncut version finally passed.
