2.) Anthropophagous: the Beast
Or simply known as Antropophagus, this Joe D’Amato directed Italian horror follows a group of tourists as they’re killed and eaten one by one by a gruesome, ugly shipwrecked killer when they’re stranded on an island. Being that this killer eats flesh, it’s no surprise that it’s a very gory movie. That alone would trigger the censors, but the scene in which the killer stomps the belly of a pregnant woman and eats her unborn baby was enough to make this one of the most infamous Video Nasties. Banned, save for some heavily censored releases, this one remains one of the more rare entries. It finally passed uncut in the UK in 2015.
